| Blue Chip dynamic company looking for an IT Applications Administrator to assist with the following:- • To support the day to day operation of the company's IT by administering all company applications according to goals & objectives. • To install, configure, support, administer & secure company applications, software upgrades & software upgrade testing. • To proactively monitor, optimize, analyze and report on system performance and stability. • To maintain the virtual, structured testing environment to ensure that upgrades and updates are tested and released for the live environment. • To assist in the design of the backup environment and testing of backup, restore and disaster recovery strategies. • To develop and maintain effective working relationships with customers, vendors, and others related to the company to ensure customer satisfaction and addressing problems & complaints as they arise. • To assist in the development of documentation of Policies & procedures related to application administration. • To provide support to the after hours Level 1 & Level 2 support team to ensure uninterrupted business operations & quick resolution of issues. |

| Skills Required | |||
| • Grade 12 (Essential) • Tertiary qualification in MIS or IT (Desirable) • 4 Years as Applications Administrator or similar position (Essential) • MIS & IT support experience (Desirable) • Knowledge of ECT Act. • Knowledge of SOX & SEC Compliance; • Knowledge of email archiving technologies; • Knowledge of hardware and software clustering; • Knowledge of SAN, LAN & WAN environments & Knowledge of PCI DSS compliance. • Knowledge of ITIL processes and procedures. • Install, configure, support & administer Windows server platforms, DBMS (MSSQL), reporting services & web application servers (IIS). MS Office (Excel, Word, Access & power Point) Interpersonal & customer service skills Written & verbal communication skills planning & organising skills. |
