| Are you prepared to take Creative risks and work with a Creative Director to revolutionise creativity in South Africa. My client is looking for a Creative Copywriter to work as part of a creative team on all the company’s accounts. Ideally need experience across all media applications (TV, radio and print). The successful applicant will assist in conceptualising and creating advertising copy across a wide range of applications. You have the ability to craft an idea by taking a rough diamond and turning it into a polished diamond. This involves writing 'copy', i.e. coming up with original concepts and catchphrases, slogans, messages, straplines and scripts. |

| Skills Required | |||
| Client Management • Attending client briefing sessions when needed. • Gaining an understanding of the target audience and business that the medium is aimed at • Pitching ideas to client services team and clients when requested. • Producing storyboards’ or scamps with Creative Director to communicate ideas to the client Copy Writing and Editing • Writing clear, persuasive, original copy; • Writing of client proposals including but not limited to creative ideas, executions, rationales and roll out. • Discuss theme, style and length of copy with advertisers or management, to determine the most suitable approach. • Amending, revising or redeveloping campaigns in response to feedback from the creative director or clients; • Proofreading copy to check spelling and grammar; Creative Process • The review and development of creative concepts with the Client Service Teams and Creative Studio teams. • Working closely with the Client services, Creative Director Copy and Creative Studio teams to generate creative ideas and concepts to fulfil the client’s brief. • Meeting the Client Service teams to discuss client requirements and product background; brainstorming ideas and concepts. • Visiting and assessing different locations for potential shoots and working on location if necessary. • Work closely with the graphic designers to architect and implement the overall look and feel of client’s creative expectations. • Working in a close-knit creative partnership with the creative team to generate workable concepts and ideas; • Submitting ideas and discussing progress with the creative director before making presentations to clients, client services; • Assist Client Services team and Creative director where necessary with ideas for advertising and promotion, often thinking up names for products and slogans etc for other promotional material. Social Media: • Develop and Implement the social media strategy/content plans, coordinating with stakeholders across the Company to ensure its effectiveness and encouraging adoption of relevant social media techniques for our Clients • Manage social media campaigns and day-to-day activities. • Manage Client’s presence in social networking sites including Facebook, Twitter, and other similar community sites, posting on relevant blogs, and seeding content into social applications as needed • Perform Online Reputation Management on a day-to-day basis for Clients • Become an advocate of the Clients in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate • Monitor effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of social media programs, and analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results • Regularly feedback insights gained from social media monitoring into the Client Service and Digital teams, to help them evolve their strategies in a timely fashion • Monitor trends in social media tools, trends and applications |

| • Advertising agency experience • Excellent command of English (Bonus Afrikaans) • Develop and Contribute to creative concepts and strategy • Working on several campaigns at once, under pressure and to tight deadlines; • Able to turn around copy quickly • Exceptional creative writing skills • Organized and able to multi-task • Organized and able to multi-task • Good communication and presentation skills • Keeping up to date with popular culture and trends; • Strong copywriting and proof reading experience, ideally with a relevant qualification. • Management Skills • Skills in TV and Radio advertising. • Ability to establish strong relationships across departments and an understanding of client needs, the consumer experience, marketing strategy and operational capabilities Personal skills & attributes The ability to manage stress, is deadline and time line driven and client focused. The successful candidate must be assertive, be able to communicate clearly and concisely and be willing to take ownership of projects. You are not required to have all the answers but must be willing to find them. Attention to detail is essential. Experience level A minimum of 2 - 4 years experience in Creative Copywriting and proof reading. Travel occasionally with client services to clients. |
