Description
A strong, versatile General Manager is required for a leading TV production company
Skills Required
• A minimum of 5 years senior management experience
• An appropriate tertiary qualification or relevant work experience commensurate with the requirements of the position
• A proven operational manager who is able to effectively and efficiently manage the company’s day to day operations
• Excellent interpersonal and all round communication skills who can quickly develop strong relationships with the CEO and other key stakeholders and clients
• A fast learner who can quickly learn the television production business and the company’s processes and systems
• Strong relationship building and influencing skills
• Good understanding of marketing principles and the ability to see and develop new business opportunities
• Able to lead contract negotiations and advise the CEO and key stakeholders on contract arrangements and performance
• A proven team leader who leads by example and who can work with the CEO to build and maintain an ethical and high performance culture within the company
• The ability to think strategically and to formulate and execute strategies which will help grow the business
• Possess the courage to put in place solutions to problems
• Able to set budgets and to control and monitor financial and other resources
• Good analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial and other information and prepare reports for the CEO and other stakeholders
• Sound knowledge of HR practices including employment law , recruitment , training and development techniques
• Good knowledge of business and contract law and of company governance, legislative and compliance requirements
• IT savvy, with a good practical knowledge of Excel and other PC progams
