Description
The Statistician will be responsible for statistical analysis and interpretation of research data. This includes investigating and implementing new statistical methods, data modeling, enhancing and improving customer research, data mining, segmentation and sampling. The Senior Statistician will also be responsible for transferring knowledge and skills regarding research methodology as well as specific solutions. Knowledge management and streamlining of processes is a key part of this function.
Skills Required
The requirements for this position are as follows:
• B.Sc. / B.Com (Mathematical) Statistics / Honours Statistics preferable
• Proficient in SPSS / SAS
• Computer literate - MS office
• Minimum 3 years experience in statistical analysis, including the areas of multivariate data analysis, sampling, segmentation, data mining and modeling
• Experience in quantitative market research is preferable, especially strong skills relating to Branding Research as well as Product Design and Development
• Experience in Conjoint Analysis will be an advantage
• Any experience with GIS will be an advantage
• Strong research methodology knowledge
• Interpersonal skills
• Report Writing Skills
• Effective time and project management
• Communication skills - both verbal and written
• Ability to work under pressure
