| Responsible for implementing and improving upon the procurement strategy through management of processes that ensure correct goods & services are procured cost effectively, timeously, from appropriate suppliers, delivered to the correct location using correct procurement governance to ensure optimal total cost of ownership of goods & services. Roles and Responsibilities • Constant flow of materials and service to meet operational requirements • Overall management of suppliers, new technologies, material, etc • Selection of the most suitable service providers based on the business strategy in terms of BEE status, rates and fees • Negotiation of service levels and pricing structures with suppliers for all operational requirements • Ensure the company’s buying objectives are achieved through effective negotiation with suppliers, at the most competitive price to the company • Setting up, negotiating, maintaining and re-negotiation of existing / new contracts with suppliers and service providers ensuring all contracts are managed within the agreed SLA’s • Maintenance of supplier database • Full responsibility for requisition and purchase order process and related system efficiencies • Implementation and continuous improvement of an appropriate procurement strategy for the Group • Ability to write and implement procurement related policies and procedures ensuring corporate governance • Ensure understanding and adherence to internal policies and procedures and remain up to date with changes in the industry • Responsible for the capital expenditure budget (for structures and other capital expenditure requirements, including IT), including the reconciliation of spent and committed capex against these budgets. • Monitoring of stock movement and establish appropriate stocking policies and procedure, in order to minimize inventory and stock-outs of critical materials • Monitor procurement spend on an ongoing basis to identify trends and procurement opportunities • Monitoring of quality specifications of delivered products / services to ensure compliance to purchasing specification / agreed service levels. • Submit monthly procurement reports to Management. • Ad hoc projects / tasks as may be required by management |

| Qualifications & Experience • Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management • Minimum 3 to 5 years experience in a procurement function • At least 3 years procurement management experience • Previous experience in managing supplier relationships • Strong knowledge of supply chain management legislation within the public sector • Must be computer literate – MS Office Plus: Valid driver's license Own reliable motor car |
